The SpringHill Suites New Orleans Downtown/Canal Street generally receives positive reviews, highlighting its convenient location near the French Quarter and Canal Street streetcar, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast. However, concerns have been raised regarding cleanliness issues, limited storage space in rooms, and parking costs.
My family and I recently stayed at the Marriott in Louisiana, and we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and valued. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere throughout. Everything exceeded our expectations, and it was the perfect place for our family to relax during our trip. The hospitality, attention to detail, and overall experience made our stay truly enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Marriott to anyone visiting the area!
Latanya was amazing! She helped us navigate a double charged through Booking.com. She was friendly, and even remembered our names after the 4th day. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and easy access to Canal Street streetcar service just a few blocks away. Parking was expensive, but that's everywhere in New Orleans if you want a safe place to park
Stayed for three nights. The hotel was clean, quiet, and staff were friendly. The location was a short walkable distance from restaurants and other attractions. Main issue was the complimentary breakfast at this hotel. Lack of food options and quality wasn’t great. They kept putting out old bananas for the whole time I was there with no other fruit options. Also, rooftop bar was okay. There isn’t a kitchen on site based on a staff report, so room service is ordered from another hotel and brought over. Overall, good value just not the best options available here.
Horrible experience, too expensive for What it gives, You only get Your room done every 2 days, air conditioning dosent work so You freeze, to get something to eat yo have to walk 7 Blocks to find somewhere... any restaurant or fast food, and rooms arent What they promes you.. we asked for a 58 mts room and gave us a 25 mts for 700 usd... as a gift Last night the fire alarm started to sound at 3 am because guest was supposed to be cooking (What we doubt) at that time... it Was freezing, we had to run out of the building With our 3 litle children criying, they didnt had any tipe of consideratión With us, didnt gave us any kind of compensation, breakfast is basic not whorth the hotel price. Horrible place. Dont waste your money and life here! Im suffering! Freezing in a tini room with 3 children and husband for 700 usd 3 nights! Just want this to end! And have to walk 7 Blocks to get anything to eat!
We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the city, the hotel was perfect, everything very clean. Everyone was very nice and they addressed our requests in a timely manner. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was delicious. Location is very convenient having the Streetcar station a block away. Just make sure you get dinner before heading back because there are not many options nearby. We parked in the Tulane Hospital's parking building, it was $25 per day. We will definitely stay here again when coming to New Orleans.
This was a nice hotel, the rooms were a little small to have a queen bed and a pullout couch bed; however it was just the two of us. We didn't have a window, so we were boxed in so to speak. Having a room without a window was different, there's a first time for everything. The location was convenient because it was close to the University Hospital for our early morning appt. The front desk clerk provided great service. They did have valet parking for a fee per night.
Everything was great overall the rooftop view was amazing, with a beautiful skyline of New Orleans. There was nothing wrong with the room, and everything seemed perfect during our stay. However, one issue occurred that made me hesitant to return or recommend this hotel. I stayed for a total of four days and made sure the room was clean and undamaged upon checkout. At checkout, I was told that as long as there were no damages or missing items, my full deposit would be returned. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive it. Additionally, housekeeping only serviced the room once during my stay, which made things inconvenient, especially when it came to reusing towels. Not coming back again
We've stayed all over the quarter on previous trips and SpringHill Suites tops our list of places to stay! Everything was super clean and everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and courteous. We had a little issue with our card, and the general manager was quick to call us back and handled the situation with integrity and efficiency, earning SpringHill Suites a definite return stay in our books. It's comforting to know you're staying somewhere with good people working behind the scenes. The location itself is a little far from the quarter, but with the street car so close, I could really only see it being an issue for people with mobility issues that make getting to the trolley stop difficult. With clean, affordable rooms, kind employees and a gm who made sure we were taken care of, we have nothing but good things to say about SpringHill Suites. (Breakfast every morning was great too)
This hotel was nice! Very clean, with nice updated rooms. The top floor with bar as great views of the city, and really pretty at night. Plus nice little bar if you like a drink. Can't remember the bartender's name but he was really nice and informative, great service! Now the front desk ladies were awesome! Very welcoming, really just above and beyond service from them!
The 2 Queen suite was awesome. Very clean. Gym is amazing with ul to date equipment. Rooftop bar was great, comfortable seating and fun to take pics at. We did not get a Wifi password - I dont think its free. But we did use out hotspots and it was fine. Only downside is parking. its $59 a day for valet or $40 for self parking a day in a garage 1 block away. There is a parking lot right behind the hotel that is $10 a day so I recommend using that. Breakfast is delish and lobbh was very comfortable and clean. Also right on the streetcar route which is nice and close to alot of things.
