The Jung Hotel and Residences receives consistently positive feedback, particularly regarding its spacious rooms, convenient location near the French Quarter and streetcar lines, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight some issues with cleanliness, particularly in bathrooms and hallways, along with occasional service lapses like missing amenities and slow coffee shop service. A recurring concern involves potential bed bug issues.
Stayed at The Jung Hotel recently, and we overall had a really good experience as first time guests at this hotel. The hotel honestly surprised us by the amount of great qualities and amenities that were available to us. Our suite was clean, modern, spacious, and great furnishings, including a mini kitchen, washer and dryer, comfortable bed, and large bathroom. The hotel is well maintained and it is in a convenient location for guests to explore the city. The front desk staff that welcomed us were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My only complaint was the coffee shop, which was a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel experience due to its long wait time and lack of staff. Other than that, everything else was great, and I’d definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting New Orleans.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 6 days/5 nights and had an amazing experience!! My room was very comfortable and the service was phenomenal. A special acknowledgment goes to Front Desk Staff persons, Monique, Dakota and Lisa -as well as Valets, Troy and Shane. These persons took a personal interest in my care and comfort, which was both impressive and reassuring. When I return to NOLA, I will definitely stay at the Jung Hotel!!! 5 Stars all around!
My stay at the Jung Hotel was fantastic, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. The rooms are incredibly huge and spacious, giving you more than enough room to relax and spread out after a long day of exploring the city. The location is also perfect, it offers great proximity to the excitement of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, making it super convenient to walk or hop on the streetcar to get to all the action. To top it all off, the check-in process was an absolute breeze. The staff was efficient and welcoming, making it incredibly easy to get settled in right away. Highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in NOLA!
Our stay at the Jung Hotel was fantastic. The location is absolutely perfect—situated right in front of the streetcar stops, which made getting around incredibly convenient. Walking to the top attractions was a breeze in the beautiful weather. Bourbon Street is only about six blocks away, and everything around the French Quarter was within a comfortable 30?minute walk at a moderate pace. The Jung made an ideal home base for exploring the city. The room was incredibly spacious and impressively quiet, even though it overlooked a street. Service was impeccable from check?in to check?out. The rooftop pool area was beautiful; while we didn’t have time to use it during the day and it was a bit chilly at night (the pool didn’t seem heated during our stay), it was still a lovely place to sit and unwind after a long day. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It’s an excellent value for the money—feels five?star with a boutique hotel appeal.
This was one of the best hotels by far that we have stayed. This place is set for the real deal. We had a washer and dryer in our room which makes for taking dirty close back home a thing of the past. The rooms are huge and the marble floors, maaaannnnn you just cant get any better. If you plan on staying and dont want to get out they have a small kitchen equipped for cooking a personal meal for yourself of a romantic night, everything is already there. The service it top tier and the bar is amazing. They have a piano player occasionally. Theres an all you can eat breakfast buffet for 20$ per person. Right on canal you can visit and see the French quarter and get right back into you room. I mean I can go on and on about how great this hotel stay was but I'll leave your imagination up to you when you visit! This is A MUST STAY PLACE OF NEW ORLEANS. This will probably be the only place we stay from on anytime we are in the city. Thank you the the Jung Staff and servers and valet and front desk, and everyone from the top to the bottom of the chain here for such an amazing place to stay and everything and everyone being so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed and will be back.
The hotel is very convenient to attractions. The decor and room size are very nice. Amenities are v limited. We had to ask for blankets because we only had sheets on the beds. The lamp and clock did not work, there were no tissues in the box. In terms of cleanliness it was very lacking. The floor was not swept or mopped, the doors are dirty and worst of all, there is mold inside the shower. Sorry, but not staying here again and do not recommend.
The Jung Hotel & Residences is perfectly comfortable and makes a great base if you are in town for work, a convention, or a short practical stay. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped. Marble floors, large beds, plenty of light and all the essentials one would expect from a modern city hotel. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stay itself. However, if you are visiting New Orleans in search of atmosphere and that deep sense of place the city does so well, the Jung feels a little characterless. It is efficient rather than immersive. That said, the staff were genuinely excellent throughout. Friendly, helpful and professional, with Dakota in particular delivering standout service. A solid, reliable stay. Just perhaps not the place if you are hoping to feel the full spirit of New Orleans when you walk through the door.
We booked the hotel on a last minute trip from Thursday-Sunday. The hotel was centrally and walking distance to Bourbon Street and public transportation. The staff were super friendly and very insightful of the city. The rooms are very large and the bathroom was great. A con was the wall were paper thin. We heard all the drunk people getting in at 2am along with every door opening and shutting. There was no phone in the room, so if we needed anything we had to look up the phone number or walk to the phone by the elevator to call. Overall if served our needs.
For the 400.00 a night I spent at this hotel we were NOT satisfied at all. The room was not cleaned at all the floors in the hallway were filthy with trash, walls scuffed and dirty. The walls in the bedroom were dirty. The furniture was dirty, the ceiling paint was peeling off, I wiped and cleaned the fixtures, countertops bathroom sinks toilet and headboard and my towels were dirty after I cleaned them so that lets me know the room was NOT PROPERLY CLEANED. One of the sinks didnt work, the toilet was shakey when you sit to use it . And to top that off the valet driver was speeding in my vehicle when asked why was he speeding he said im trying to get your car to you completely unacceptable. I was very disappointed in my stay here as it was a surprise getaway for my husband that wasnt a memorable experience.
Overall, a good experience. A very good location for Mardi Gras events. The rooms are clean. Most appliances and electronics functioned properly. We did have an outlet that was not receiving power. Also be aware that the "make up room" buttons aren't used. You have to call for housekeeping prior to 11am. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again in the future.
