The Bourbon Orleans Hotel offers a historic and centrally-located experience in the heart of the French Quarter. While praised for its ambiance, location, and friendly staff, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding inconsistent room quality, noise levels, and outdated amenities. Some guests experienced issues with cleanliness, shower pressure, and lack of in-room conveniences like HBO.
I used to really love this hotel and it's still very nice. The rooms are clean. There's just nothing special anymore like there used to be. They used to have iced tea in the lobby. They don't anymore. They used to have room service. They don't anymore. That is why I gave service a low rating. The guy at the check in counter had no personality. The only people that were friendly were the doormen And bellhops. They charge $80 per night Hold on your credit card for incidentals. So our five night stay was a four hundred dollar hold. Luckily I have that on my card , but the people in front of us did not , and it caused quite a problem for them. They do have a restaurant, only open for breakfast and on weekends for dinner and with an extremely limited menu. i would only eat there out of convenience. We did not eat there. We had to ask 3x in a span of 5 hours for toilet paper. We started requesting it at 5. Its 10 and we still dont have it. They have only basic cable channels. No hbo or movie channels. Not even to buy. Also there was a private party at the pool for 5 hours that played loud rap type music. 5 hours! Omg i was ready to scream. We will find a better place with more amenities next time.
What a pleasant surprise. We upgraded to a two level balcony suite. Worth every penny. As a frequent traveler I found the prices very reasonable if not inexpensive. The bar and restaurant on premise are good. The staff still provide real service and daily room cleaning is a real thing. The location can't be beat. Very walkable to many attractions.
We had a wonderful stay at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel! The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the French Quarter and within walking distance of all the major attractions, restaurants, and live music. The hotel is beautiful, full of historic charm, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet despite being so close to the excitement. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The courtyard and pool were a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. If you're visiting New Orleans and want an authentic experience with an unbeatable location, I highly recommend staying here!
10 out of 10! Location was on point! The whole Staff was extremely pleasant and friendly! Jaquan hands down was the most helpful person and made our stay enjoyable! Ms. Camryn the bartender was lovely and super sweet! She’s one of a kind! I recommend! This hotel is a win win situation! I appreciate the entire staff for their service and hospitality!
We enjoyed our stay here! Location is great for walking around!! Close to bourbon, Jackson square and a grocery store one block away. Staff was good, and our rooms were well cleaned. There are two complimentary water bottles per room per day and water stations downstairs. Only complaint was that valet took a while so take that into account when you need your car.
Super cool hotel! The lobby is gorgeous! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Location wise, the Bourbon Orleans Hotel was an easy walk to get anywhere on and near Bourbon St and the French Quarter. The room we stayed in was awesome. My wife and I will definitely be staying again in the future.
________________________________________ We've completed a delightful stay at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans. The room was great-elegant, beautifully decorated with a spacious balcony with a view of the back of the Cathedral and Bourbon Street. The staff here are super helpful and friendly. Ken, the director of admissions, made our stay very special. David helped with our luggage and parking, Denice and Adilah in guest services were so efficient and kind. We also had a late breakfast here in the restaurant with delicious food with ample servings, Terry is an excellent server. This is an amazing boutique hotel in the best part of the French Quarter. We will definitely be back!
Hubby and I just finished a 3 night stay. The location is perfect for getting around the FQ. We had an issue with no hot water in our first room and they quickly moved us with no problems. It was amazing that we couldn't hear any of the chaos of Bourbon St from our room. Breakfasts at La Roux cafe were delicious and their cappuccinos were a great way to start the day. We were able to make use of the pool after a very hot day walking around. Lots of great music in the Burboub O Bar and the drinks were excellent. We would absolutely stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautiful, historic, and full of New Orleans character. The decor perfectly captured that classic New Orleans vibe and made the whole experience feel unique and memorable. The location was amazing — walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. One of our favorite parts was the courtyard view overlooking the pool. It honestly felt like stepping back in time in the best way possible. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!
We had a great stay at this hotel in New Orleans. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location was excellent, right in the centre of all the action, which made it really easy to get around. The food was good overall, though breakfast service was a little slow at times. A few of our group also found that the shower in their room took a long time to heat up, which was a small inconvenience. That said, the hotel was very accommodating with luggage storage after checkout, allowing us to leave our bags until our flight. Overall, I’d happily recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, service, and fantastic location
