Hotel St. Marie offers a historic and charming experience in the heart of the French Quarter, just steps from Bourbon Street. While some rooms exhibit dated features, the staff consistently receives high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the location is a major draw for exploring the city. Guests appreciate a quiet retreat amidst the lively atmosphere.
We stayed 3 nights and loved our stay! Great hotel for proximity to Bourbon St. Only valet parking which seemed normal for the area. The valet was ~$42/day which was cheaper than some other places so I just had to accept it. The hotel as a whole is gorgeous. It historic (I believe) so it gives an antique look? The service was amazing on all fronts. No complaints. The room itself had a slight mildew smell. It didn’t seem bad enough to report but it was definitely noticeable every time we entered the room. Other than that, the room was nice. The fixtures and things were a little dated and rusty (like shower door was stiff, clock was old and dirty). It wasn’t anything serious. Still a wonderful stay!
Our experience at the hotel was fabulous. Melissa in the bar was an absolute doll and made a great drink. The restaurant on site had good food. The entire hotel staff was open and friendly, from the front desk to the valet. The rooms are clean( wish they had microwaves) and comfortable. We stayed in a courtyard suite and couldn't believe how quiet it was! Burbon street is only about 40 steps from the hotel so the location was prime smack dab in the heart of the french quarter. We had a blast and qould stay again!
We visited for my birthday and we had an amazing stay. Not only was our room nice, but the staff was amazing. They made us feel so special and comfortable. I was really like visiting with old friends and family. Keisha Pickett, Betsy, Reggie, Anthony and Nita were amazing. The Bells Men , security guards and pool maintenance man were amazing also. I truly have no complaints. Thank you all for making my birthday trip special.
We had an amazing stay here! The room was clean. Staff were friendly. The bar/restaurant and coffee shop are connected to the hotel. They were very convenient. The hotel is centrally located. Bourbon St. is right around the corner, but it was quiet in the hotel. We loved our courtyard balcony room. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!
I loved my stay at Hotel St. Marie. I was treated with kindness and a warm welcoming. Keisha, Betsy and Jason made my stay an amazing and pleasant one. They have such warm and beautiful personalities. They work well together. Betsy was very helpful with recommending which tours and excursions to see. As well as recommending the best places to eat nearby. Keisha, Betsy and Jason deserve a raise they are the heart of Hotel St. Marie. They made my first visit to New Orleans an amazing one with their beautiful personalities. I will definitely be coming back to Hotel St. Marie due to their amazing staff. They are very attentive towards the guests. We definitely plan on visiting again and staying in this hotel next spring. Thank you so much guys for making our first visit to New Orleans a lovely experience.
Visited New Orleans for the first time and we really enjoyed our room and stay! It was spacious, comfortable, and very nice overall. The hotel was close distance to Bourbon street and other areas, yet nice and quiet from where our room was (above, facing the pool area) and didn't hear much noise. Staff was friendly and attentive everytime we walked by. Would definitely come back the next time we visit!
My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to New Orleans (we'd never been before). Hotel St. Marie checked all the boxes, close to the action but quiet indoors, pool, bar, cafe/restaurant and a balcony over a peaceful courtyard. Keisha and Kendra were phenomenal hosts. They helped us navigate the city and told us all the places to shop and eat. The valet was perfect and the service was friendly. Well definitely come back again.
Really enjoyed my stay; staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful when my partner felt ill and we needed extra time to checkout. Rooms can have some worn spots, but the beds were very comfy, we slept great, and didn't hear much for street noise (5th floor streetside). The pool is pretty small, but it was a nice place to cool off, and having towels available is great. We enjoyed a nice swim after sunset. Be aware that the courtyard is used as a smoking area, but is big enough you won't notice. I'm very happy I picked this place and will stay here again next time.
Nice hotel on Toulouse , one block from Bourbon. Room was very comfortable and clean. Taking a star off because the website claims to have a fridge but my room didn’t. I would have liked to keep water bottles and maybe a bottle of wine chilled because the heat in NOLA is no joke. The very best thing about this hotel was the staff. Wish I had gotten names but they were so very pleasant and kind. Thank you!
The staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. We had a courtyard view which was lovely. A historical hotel that was charming and well kept. Would definitely stay again!
