This Courtyard by Marriott in the Warehouse Arts District offers a convenient location near the convention center and attractions, but is plagued by noise issues from nearby clubs and inconsistent service. Recent renovations have left some areas feeling unfinished, and guests have reported issues with room cleanliness, maintenance, and a lack of transparency regarding hotel policies and upgrades.
This hotel was ok, a little dated in the carpet, walls and hallways, but the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the shower wouldn’t drain properly so you’d be in standing water while you showered. It did drain a few mins after you got out, but not really ideal. It was really hard to relax at night when there was a club/bar right across the street blasting music that shook the walls and windows until 4AM on Friday and Saturday. No fault of the hotel on that, but it really sucked when I was getting up early every morning for a conference I was attending. Just unlucky draw to get the room that was directly facing the club. I did like that the hotel was walkable to the conference center and a quick Uber to most things I wanted to see in the city and the staff was also very nice and friendly greeting you whenever you’d leave and come back.
The rooms were clean, nothing life shattering, but also nothing that I didn’t have and I needed. Other than a full-size mirror, which I think likely broke recently and hadn’t been replaced yet because all my coworkers with the same room had one. But the real shining star here is the service. The front desk staff was helpful, kind, and quick the entire time and the bartenders were lovely. But the best part of our stay was when my coworker and I had to stay back from the conference and use the lobby as our office for the full day. The manager checked on us, brought me a smart water at no charge, asked if we wanted snacks or candy, and when we said that we really just needed alcohol he made sure as soon as the bar was set up that we had a round on him. The location to the conference center is so convenient, especially in the June heat. 10 out of 10 recommend!
I am a wheelchair user and I stayed in one of their accessible rooms for two nights. The room is not accessible at all. There's no way to automatically open the heavy doors so if you are a wheelchair user and you have no help there's no way to get inside. Once you go inside the hallway is too narrow for a wheelchair to fit through or turn in. The only accessible thing I saw Was that the sink had space under it for the wheelchair to fit and the bathtub was short. But there was no way to get to the sink or the bathtub without an abled person's help or standing. That is not accessible. There was also no microwave in the room which I feel like should be in every hotel room. And the sheets felt like crinkle paper. Too stiff and rough. Besides that the employees were absolutely wonderful, they accommodated me anyway that they could, Apologizing for the inaccessibility, And actively tried to make my stay easier. I'm writing this in the hopes that the people who own these buildings can possibly remodel those inaccessible rooms. Having your required accessible rooms not accessible is illegal my friends.
I chose this hotel for it's great proximity to the convention center. The 5 min walk is a plus. The service is worse than average for Courtyard. Rooms serviced only every 3 days, but price remains high. Trash is overflowing and microscopic bar of soap is long gone. But no service. Beds remain unmade. (Note: after complaint, hotel agreed to service the room). No recognition of Titanium status, no bottles of water in the room. If you are in New Orleans and like deafeningly loud clubs you are in luck. Republic NOLA is right across the street. Their music shook the walls and windows until well after 2 am with their laser lights brightening the room. Called the front desk (no help) and called the police twice (no help). If you stay at this hotel, demand a room away from the club.
The best part of the stay this weekend was the first person that worked on Saturday evening. She was very helpful and friendly. The valet stay was very nice and helpful even if you didn't park valet. On the other hand the manager Jasmine and other employees had very nasty attitudes and no customer service communication at all. Its a great location but customer service is important
We had a great overnight stay before our cruise. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The starbucks on site was fantastic. The pool was good but chilly. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Bonus points for the location. As soon as you walk out of the hotel, you can see the ship sitting at the Riverwalk waiting.
We were here for a conference - excellent location to convention center. Staff were very nice. Always smiling and saying hello when we were coming and going. Charged us $50 for early checkin. Told me if I signed up for their rewards it would be free. Maybe next time you should try 'hey I know your new to Marriott - we usually charge $50 for early checkin but since the room is ready, we want you to experience our world class hotel and no extra charge.' Our heat/ac didn't work properly. We had to have it set at 90 just get the room so it wasn't freezing, and the fan was extremely loud. Glad we weren't in our room much and we brought earplugs. Hotel 'restaurant' only served a very limited breakfast and the room service menu came for another place. Friday night we must have been near a concert hall or something because you could hear the music and vibrations through the walls and echoing in the courtyard. Just an overall disappointing experience. Glad I didn't get the 'rewards' card.
Visiting from Baltimore. The stay has been amazing. Great space in the room king bed is comfortable & soft. hospitality is great. Front desk help Treva was outstanding. Got locked out the room and she help retrieve keys quickly. 10/10 service.
My partner and I stayed here for two days, and it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Check-in was smooth, and we immediately felt taken care of. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable — we both slept better than we have in weeks. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work because everything felt fresh, clean, and well-organized. What stood out the most was the level of service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and offering assistance when needed. The hotel itself was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for a couple’s retreat. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere after long days out. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely stay here again. If you’re looking for a clean hotel with comfortable beds and exceptional staff, this is a great choice.
Don at the front desk is a true KING. I cannot say enough incredible things about him!! Truly the best experience thanks to him. He is a gem and deserves everything good in this world!!! This hotel was so central to everything and so clean. We had the best time during MG!!
