Loews New Orleans Hotel consistently receives high praise for its excellent location, friendly and attentive staff, and overall luxurious atmosphere. Guests frequently highlight the cleanliness of the rooms, the convenience of nearby attractions, and the quality of the food and beverage options. However, some reviews mention occasional issues with room amenities and inconsistent service.
Fantastic hotel! Very clean and comfortable rooms! The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make our stay the best! Loved the location close enough but not right in the middle of the French Quarter. Food and drinks were A+! We just couldn’t find anything wrong with anything at the hotel. And I can say the valet service was quick and absolutely over the top! That guy wouldn’t let us touch a bag or a door handle. Made us feel like royalty.
This hotel has it all. Eight in the heart of New Orleans and close to so many places that you can walk to. Everyone who worked there was knowledgeable about the area and courteous to all our questions. The breakfast buffet was great and the bar had wonderful drinks. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom had good lighting. Will be back.
We had such a wonderful stay at Loews New Orleans! The entire staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. One employee, in particular, really stood out. She noticed my elderly parents were trying to enjoy breakfast while we were taking care of our baby, and without us even asking, she graciously offered to help by keeping an eye on our little one so they could eat in peace. That small act of kindness meant so much to our family and is something we’ll never forget. It showed genuine compassion and exceptional hospitality. And I have to mention the dessert… the Bourbon Banana Bread Pudding with ice cream was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Absolutely incredible! Thank you, Loews, for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to come back!
What a great experience! My first visit to Loews and it will surely not be my last! The hotel was great but their people made the stay very enjoyable. The staff took ownership of every aspect of the hotel and made my stay perfect. Without a doubt, I will be back soon! Thank you!
We loved our room and the convenience of location to everything we wanted to do on our trip. The staff was nice except for the man who was at the valet when we dropped it off. When we first dropped our car off at valet and went to take it out for the night they didn't leave a valet tag on the key chain. When we brought it back for the night we explained no one ever attached a valet tag to it. We were awoken at 1 am with a couple knocks on the door from the valet service. We didn't answer it and they slid an envelope under the door with a new valet tag and a note saying to not take our tag off our keychain. When we were checking out and went to valet to pick up the car the guy asked if we got his note and said yes and explained again we never had one originally attached to my keys. He was really nice and all but I don't think it's appropriate to knock on someone's door twice at 1 am, it could have just been slid under the door like he did. Overall a good stay but felt that was odd.
I want to first address the things I did not like about the hotel. The bellhops at this hotel are unhelpful especially for a hotel with this supposed caliber. When we parked our car in front of the hotel no one came out to help with our bags because they were busy talking to other staff inside. They offered to help with our bags once I introduced myself then after I mentioned I will be self parking they did not bother helping my partner and our toddler with our bags. We ended up getting trolley ourselves and bringing our own bags upstairs. When we were leaving the hotel they didn’t not offer to help with our bags they just watched us. The facility is out dated and you can hear everyone outside your door. There was a girl’s basketball tournament in town and the players happened to hangout in the hallway and I could hear their whole conversations late into the night from my bed. The location is excellent and in the morning there was a complimentary coffee/tea station which was nice. The service was lacking and not up to par what you would expect at a higher end hotel. I was not impressed with my stay there.
This was my first time in New Orleans and I was there for my bday, which my mom casually mentioned to Ms. Beverly, and Ms. Beverly went above and beyond to coordinate a sweet gesture for me. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture and that I had to go downstairs to thank her and she gave me the warmest hug like I had known her for years. That, alone, made this hotel worth the 5 stars because you want to feel comfortable when you’re home away from home; and Ms. Beverly did just that. The valet attendant who took our luggage to our room on Wednesday, the 20th around 4 pm, he also worked on Friday,I think his name was Daniel (?) was great too. The front desk attendant, Demetrice, was great and remembered my convo with her about a book store that I wanted to visit. Blair, the valet attendant, was also quick to help in giving directions. The attentiveness of these people meant everything. Lastly, the shrimp po’boy from the restaurant downstairs was delicious. The entire staff that we encountered, even the ones we didn’t like housekeeping, were amazing but I just had to highlight the staff: Ms. Beverly (front desk), Demetrice (front desk), Daniel (?), I hate that can’t remember his name -valet attendant on May 20th and May 22nd, and the rest of the valet crew. Will definitely be the hotel that I stay at when I come back to New Orleans. Thanks again, Ms. Beverly! -Adrienne M.
????? Exceptional Stay – Truly Felt Like a Queen I stayed at the Loews Hotel on Poydras Street for a nursing conference this weekend, arriving late Friday night and leaving tomorrow—and I can honestly say this has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room is spacious, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping has been outstanding—every day I came back to a perfectly refreshed room. The bathroom setup alone feels like a spa, with both a soaking tub and a walk-in shower. The indoor pool area is warm, peaceful, and inviting (a perfect way to unwind after long conference days), and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel is just elevated. Even the lobby—down to the scent—feels welcoming and well cared for. What truly makes this place stand out is the staff. Every interaction included eye contact, a smile, and genuine friendliness. That level of consistency says a lot about the culture here. And the view… waking up to the Mississippi River and catching the sunrise was absolutely beautiful. I genuinely felt taken care of the entire time—like everything was just a little bit above and beyond what I expected. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.
I recently attended an event at Loews New Orleans Hotel and had a really great experience overall. The meeting spaces were impressive—everything felt clean, modern, and well laid out. The rooms were comfortable without feeling cramped, and a few of the spaces had big windows that brought in a lot of natural light, which made a long day of sessions much more enjoyable. It was also easy to move between rooms, and there was plenty of space outside the meeting areas for mingling during breaks. The catering was honestly one of the highlights. The food didn’t feel like typical “conference food”—it had a lot more flavor and variety, and you could tell they incorporated some local New Orleans touches. Everything I tried was fresh and well-prepared, and the portions were solid. Even the coffee and snack breaks were done really well. Staff were friendly and kept things running smoothly without being intrusive, which made the whole event feel organized and relaxed at the same time. Overall, as an attendee, I thought Loews New Orleans Hotel did a great job. Between the comfortable meeting spaces and the surprisingly good catering, it made for a really positive event experience. I’d definitely be happy to attend another event there.
We had a wonderful stay! The location was very convenient, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food and drinks were excellent. The team members were incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful, which made our experience even better. We would definitely stay here again!
