The location of this hotel is why we picked it. There was a tournament at the convention center across the street, and we thought this would be a good spot so we could just walk each day. Positives would be the valet and staff at the front desk. The bartender on Friday night 5/22 was amazing, but the one there on Sunday 5/24 was absolutely horrible. We asked what type of drink we could get with our free vouchers, and he looked annoyed that we asked a question. When we asked what type of beers they served, he pointed at the icebox they had behind the bar because I guess it took too much effort to use words. Once we picked a beer, he flung the beer opener on the bar and set the beers at least 3-4 seats away and just looked at us. It wasn't until I said "that's rude" that he moved them over to where we were sitting. He proceeded to smack on a bag of chips, burping and licking his fingers so we finished our beers and left. (Never saw him wash his hands afterwards) He could have just had a bad day, but we saw him treat other people this way as well. One of the only times in my life I hadn't tipped someone. The room was fine. Updates are needed for sure, but it was clean and every day we came back to the room, the bed was made and we had fresh towels. We chose to cut our trip short by one day and we weren't refunded the day that we didn't use which stinks. Just not a great experience overall.

Everyone you spoke to was extremely professional, accommodating and friendly! The hotel was very well taken care of and clean, the room smelled nice, it was very clean and comfortable. The valet was also very nice and easy to work with. My husband and I were able to walk to everything around the hotel easily, we were close to the River Walk, French Quarter and more.

This hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property, but my experience was far from it. From the moment I checked in, it was issue after issue. The first room I was given had air conditioning problems severe enough that I had to transfer rooms on day one. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. On the second day, the fire alarm in that room went off continuously for about an hour. After waiting with little resolution, management essentially told us there was nothing they could do in terms of upgrading or relocating us, so we stayed once the alarm finally stopped. Beyond that, the property itself felt unfinished and poorly maintained. There were flickering lights and unfinished light fixtures throughout the room, which made the overall experience feel cheap rather than “luxury.” What makes this even more disappointing is that I booked the Executive Loft Suite — the second most expensive room category they offer — expecting a premium experience. Instead, it felt like I was paying top dollar to be inconvenienced repeatedly. To make matters worse, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $150 “deposit” on the second day of my stay. I completely understand standard incidental deposits at check-in, as that’s normal for hotels. However, I have never encountered a second deposit being added midway through a stay without clear explanation. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard you would expect from a hotel claiming to be 4 stars.

Let me start with the positives—the location of this hotel is hard to beat. The mall is directly across the street, and there are plenty of great restaurants and bars within a 10-minute walk, which made getting around incredibly convenient. That said, there were several disappointing aspects of my stay. The additional fees were not clearly communicated. Valet parking is $50 per night, and there is also a $25 per night “destination fee” that was never disclosed to me upfront. I later learned this fee included perks like two complimentary cocktails and beignets, but unfortunately, no one mentioned this during my stay, so I never had the chance to take advantage of it. When I noticed an unexpected $200 charge on my card and asked the front desk about it twice , I was not given a clear explanation and the destination fee was never mentioned. On top of that, it has now been seven days and I have yet to receive my $150 deposit back, which is frustrating. There was also a lack of basic communication from staff. For example, no one provided information about amenities like the fitness center, which made the overall experience feel less thoughtful than expected for the price. Also please note the hallways of this hotel are long and winding and the bell hop cart cannot make it up all the stairs so multiple trips will be required to carry your baggage if you have a lot of luggage. Overall, I did enjoy the location and had a decent stay, but due to the lack of transparency and communication, I would likely consider other hotel options in the future.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I walked through the doors, the customer service was exceptional. The front desk staff greeted me warmly, checked me in quickly, and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Throughout my visit, every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room spotless, and any request I made was handled promptly and with a smile. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the way the team made me feel valued as a guest. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, the amenities were great, and the service truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just a place to stay, but a place where you feel genuinely cared for. I will definitely be returning! Thank you Shamekia Wilson and you team.

My husband, daughter and I just finished our stay at The Riverfront, as we were attending her volleyball tournament at the convention center. The location was good, very convenient. The rooms were really disappointing, not very spacious with a very small bathroom, and the smallest refrigerator I’ve ever seen. This isn’t ideal for families with players at this tournament, as we have several items we need refrigerated to bring to the tournament. The rooms were pretty dated, without many electric outlets, and lacking modern receptacles for devices. There was a nightly $25 resort fee, I have no idea what that was for, as there were no resort amenities. There are no ice machines on each floor, so you have to call housekeeping every time you need ice, which took a while to get most times. Service overall was definitely lacking. I’m in hotels every other week for work, this is not a 4 star hotel as it’s listed, it’s a 3 star. For what we paid, I definitely expected better.

Location was very convenient- could walk to French Quarter and the Riverwalk is right across the street. The room was very dirty when we checked in- empty bottles and half-drank water bottle in the room, bathroom was not cleaned, and it just felt very dirty. The breakfast buffet is definitely not worth the $25 per person- we were in a time crunch so we used it once but everything was just very cold or soggy and not at all worth the money. If you are short on time, just walk over to Marriott's Starbucks and get some muffins/pastries. It is literally a 1-minute walk and would save you the trouble of eating soggy mush. The front desk staff were all nice. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel so be aware that you will be in a dirty room. For Mardi Gras season, you cannot beat the location because of the parade routes. You will have to plan ahead and remember to park your car BEFORE you get blocked off because they will not allow any traffic to come through during the parades. They will go on until well past 10:30pm so be aware.

The rooms are a little dated, but decent; the food isn't great (there's plenty of great restaurants around); and the elevator will stop on every single floor; the liquid body wash was delightful; the highlight of the trip was the bartender, Leonard! He is quite knowledgeable about the city and the drinks, and facilitated tons of great conversation throughout the guests. The valet guys were also very nice.

Prior to check-in, I contacted the hotel to let them know I would be having a mobility scooter delivered and asked if it would be possible for my friends and me to be on the same floor and in nearby rooms. Not only did the hotel accommodate all of this, but they went above and beyond by proactively moving me into an accessible room. When the scooter arrived, it turned out to be too large for the room. Every single time I was done using it, the staff graciously stored it securely for me and then retrieved it each evening without hesitation. The kindness, patience, and professionalism shown by every staff member I encountered was truly exceptional. I stay in a lot of hotels, and I can honestly say this was the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever experienced. I wish I had gotten everyone’s names so I could personally thank each person who helped me as I navigated a new disability during this stay. The room was great, the accommodations were excellent, and overall it was a wonderful experience. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel and its staff. Thank you for making my stay not just comfortable, but genuinely supportive and welcoming.

Worst beds ever experienced in a hotel. Not queen beds as advertised and very hard. This hotel is understaffed and not ready for full occupancy. Poor bartender had to work the whole restaurant and vise versa the entire weekend. The contracted valet guys were not warned of the hotel being full and just two of them worked all night to get people in and cars parked. This is definitely a management problem. The staff itself was great. The elevators broke by the second night and was a nightmare. Don't waste your money, go across the street to Hilton
