The Prince Conti Hotel is a charming, historic property located in the heart of the French Quarter, offering a convenient base for exploring New Orleans. While praised for its location and friendly staff, some guests have reported noise levels due to its proximity to Bourbon Street and occasional maintenance issues. Overall, it provides good value for a centrally-located stay.
Fantastic hotel in the French quarter so near everything but website showed a garden courtyard which didn't exist. The Bombay club is closed. However, in the same entrance is a great restaurant, independent of hotel, serving breakfast/ brunch with great service.
Nice inexpensive hotel off bourbon street. Decorated in an old fashioned way that works really well. Linens were clean, housekeeping was every day, wifi was free but poor signal. Refrigerator in room for leftovers, microwave to reheat. Both hidden behind a door to keep with the decor. Air-conditioning was amazing - was set to 65 degrees as the default. Walls are a little thin given the location but overall noise level wasn't bad. Desk with chair, and armchair. Close to so many restaurants and bars. I would absolutely stay here again.
The location was the greatest thing about this hotel. Over three days, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do and see without going more than 22 min away. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very cute and clean. They also have a sister location that allows you to use their pool when staying here. We only heard a little noise from our room which was really impressive for how close it is to all the fun on bourbon street. We also recommend trying their breakfast (Cafe Conti) which is open early and has good crepes and sandwiches.
Lovely room and very pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is just around the corner from Bourbon Street, so we could hear music at night, but no voices. That was fine with us, we were there for the music! The breakfast resturant was wonderful. And the location is amazing, so many great things to do, see, eat and drink, within steps.
Service here was good; they allowed early check in and late check out which was very kind. Our door to the room wouldn’t self close - you had to pul it shut and it made a loud noise every time. The room was very comfortable the whole trip which is great because the temps ranged from 50 to 100 degrees outside. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very small. On demand free movies were nice to have during bad weather. We were grateful they could accommodate us close to our arrival by phone call.
Nice clean room. The bed had a very thin top blanket so it got a little chilly with a low of 36. It’s not our first time staying here. We love the hotel. The easiest, most convenient parking in the city.
Booked five rooms for this past weekend for a bachelor party, Obviously the location is only half block from Bourbon St. and most of The French Quarter is within short walking distance. We had a huge rental van that we parked in their garage, the valet person that was there Saturday around noon was a bit rude concerning the time it was taking me to get the 13 passenger van into their driveway, which is very tight and had vehicles parked too close. I will say his attitude was great the rest of the weekend. Front desk staff was very polite and seemed generally happy to see you. This was the second bachelor party I booked here in the past 5 years and will continue to visit the Hotel. Sad to see the Bombay Jazz bar on their 1st floor was closed.
Wonderful hotel for the price..great location. Upon learning we were 4 sisters visiting NOLA to celebrate one of our 80th birthdays the manager immediately upgraded our room to a suite for no extra charge. Although the decor was a bit outdated and worn, our room was spotless, beds comfortable. Our only complaint was that there can be significant street noise at night due to its location quite near Burbon St, otherwise a tremendous value.
Incredible value. The rooms are clean and well-maintained; perfect if you just need a place to shower and sleep. The location is walking distance to pretty much everything and surprisingly quiet for how close it is to Bourbon St. The staff are so friendly and helpful; they called a cab to take us to the airport and the fare was much cheaper than uber. 10/10 would stay again.
I stay at the Prince Conti every time I’m in New Orleans, and the staff is always incredible. Truly some of the kindest, most helpful people you’ll ever meet. They consistently go above and beyond, which is why it’s the only place I’ll stay for our annual girls’ December trip. This year we were in Room 102… and let’s just say we had an extra “guest.” We’re pretty sure our friendly ghost was Sofie. One of our group members’ shoes broke as soon as we landed, so we tossed it in the closet and planned to deal with it later. Well, somehow the shoe moved to inside a drawer—and was repaired.I am not kidding you!!!! None of us touched it. At this point I’m convinced Sofie is a cobbler as well as a madam in the afterlife, because that shoe came out looking better than when it went in. We also kept hearing someone rustling around in the closet and opening the door. This happened during our entire trip. Paranormal? Maybe. New Orleans charm? Definitely. I’ll let the next guest in 102 decide. Bottom line: amazing staff, perfect location, beautiful hotel, and just enough ghostly fun to make every stay unforgettable. Five stars—every single time. To every single staff member that may read this, Merry Christmas and from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for making each and every trip the most special!!I’ll see you next year!
