The Brent House Hotel offers a convenient and economical stay, particularly for visitors attending to loved ones at Ochsner Hospital. While primarily serving individuals with hospital connections, it boasts a pleasant atmosphere, decent amenities, and is well-located for exploring New Orleans. However, some guests have raised concerns about pricing and a few aspects of room quality.

We have a daughter attending XULA so we come to NOLA for quick trips to drop off and pick her up and then we come at least one other time to visit her for the whole weekend. So over the last 2 years we have visited NOLA 8 times. We have stayed here 7 of those times. They are just quick weekend trips, most of the time one night and we just want some place comfortable to lay our head before the 9 hr drive back home. Don't let the fact its in a hospital deter you. Its clean, quiet, free garage parking and only 10 minutes from campus. I keep saying im going to try some place else but all those elements plus the economical price keep us coming back. The beds are comfortable and the 4 of us in a double queen room have plenty of space. We consider this our hidden gem. Its not fancy but we dont need it to be. Its a comfortable economic stay and easy to book. Keep up the good work.

I am from Florida, I booked this hotel for 7 days. You guys, believe it or not, I am writing this review from room 356 with horrible experience I am having. Before I get here, I asked for corner room and possibly up floor. The guy told me, their 6 floor is for patients and I was so confused. I never knew it’s connected to the hospital. Me and my daughter as a medical professionals, never want to be anywhere near the hospital. Welcome itself was horrible. Young girl at the front desk, never introduced herself, so I don’t know the name, treated us like , we are here for a favor. For a person asked for the corner room, gave the room next to the elevator and opposite of housekeeping. Unfortunately, all those doors slam while closing. I requested for an another room, that’s 356 with non draining tub, requested maintenance on Tuesday morning, no one showed up until night, requested again, first thing on Wednesday. Guy showed up and told me it’s a plumbing work, will be back when we go out. I told him, will go out around 2pm, he said he will be back after 2. Today is Saturday early morning, 1 am, still waiting for the guy with nasty tub, drain down by 2 to 3 hrs. Tired of requesting, tired of miscommunication and more than that so frustrated. As a family, go on vacation at least 3 times an year, it’s my worst experience and my first review.

They are so inviting and friendly and prompt to any of our requests. Clean rooms. No problems at all , 5 star all around!

The Indian guy at the front desk was not very knowledgeable about anything. I asked for phone numbers and he said he did not know he was not that friendly. I asked him for a phone number for the hospital next-door and he told me he did not know. I asked him several other questions and it was the same answer. I don’t know. It seems as though he did not want to go out of his way for anything. They give out free newspapers on a daily basis. I felt other workers was more knowledgeable and more helpful.

I believe this hotel charges WAY TOO MUCH when you have to stay because a loved one is in the hospital. My mom has been in the ICU for six weeks, I've used the hotel for 3 weeks. Since I am not from around the area I have no choice but to stay at the hotel. The convenience to the hospital is great! It is literally attached by a hallway. The atrium is nice and relaxing if you need to get away for a bit. My biggest complaint is that it is just way too expensive. They don't even serve breakfast.

This is mine and my husband’s second time staying at The Brent House Hotel and it’s been very pleasant. My husband had to have surgery at Oshner’s so it was nice to be right here connected to the hospital as he recovered. The rooms are very nice and the staff is great also. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to come to New Orleans. The pool and spa and atrium areas are awesome!!

This was my first visit to New Orleans and I had stayed here for about a week to explore the famous french quarter and surrounding neighbourhoods! The location of this hotel is perfect if you're willing to take the public transport. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and takes you close to the french quarter where its less than a 3 minute walk. You can use the transit app to get more details. The hotel itself is amazing, while its rating is a 3-star I feel they operate slightly at a higher level. The cleanliness of the areas are top notch, the service staff and the front desk are helpful and responsive. It also has a gym which is included in your reservation, the gym is clean and well maintained, they also have a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a decent lounge area. Lastly, I was not aware that this hotel was connected to the local research and teaching hospital as they have a full cafeteria open 8 am-8pm and the food is good quantity and affordable. All in all this was a perfect location for a budget traveler.

This will be my last time staying here. When visiting in past, this was my preferred hotel. From 2015-2021. As of recent, this place has gone down hill. The rooms are not clean. curtains dirty, tv and lamp shades are dusty, hair dryers have built up product left on it, and the door handles are gross. Also I’m not sure what’s going on, but the air quality is POOR! Nostrils instantly swell up as soon as I get off elevator to go to room. Only time I could get a breath of fresh air is stepping outside! Surprising for a hotel attached to a hospital. Also they must have replaced the beds between 2021-2025. The are now hard, and uncomfortable. The beds use to be some of the best I’ve ever slept on. Now every morning I woke up during my stay, my back and body hurt. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL FOR YOUR STAY IN NOLA ??

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is so kind and accommodating. The corridor is so pretty with the fountains and comfy seating. Beautiful lights. The pool and hot tub are amazing. We were traveling all night to get to my cousin's wedding and they got our room for us early and no matter what we needed during the trip, they were so helpful. If you visit new Orleans, I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful stay for our family. We had to travel to New Orleans for a family Memorial service. We chose the Brent House Hotel for the location and affordability and were amazed at the quality and safety. Our room was beautiful, very spacious and quiet. Parking was easy and meals using the Bistro was surprising affordable and large selection for the kids. The pool was lovely and had comfortable hot tub. We were able to use the Atrium area for the Memorial gathering which was just perfect. Long tables were available for food and photos and the staff roped our area for the private event. Our guests all complimented on the Atrium and Brent House saying it is perfect for visiting New Orleans and hosting. We were centrally located to St Charles Ave, Clearview, shopping and restaurants. I can honestly recommend staying here as we plan to return to return to Brent House for our next visit.
