This hotel has been around since 1902, and honestly, that's part of its charm. If you're expecting a brand-new, glass-and-steel luxury hotel, this probably isn't your place. If you appreciate history and character, you'll likely enjoy it. Just remember: no amount of modern upgrades can change the fact that the building is over a century old. They *can*, however, make it a comfortable place to stay—and I thought they did a good job of that. The only real disappointment for me was the morning coffee service. Let's just say... it successfully confirmed I was awake, but that's about the nicest thing I can say. My travel partner absolutely loved the swimming pool, and the location was another big plus. We were able to walk to many of the local attractions, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Sometimes a hotel doesn't have to be perfect—it just has to have personality, a great location, and enough charm to make you smile. This one checked those boxes for me.

I had a great stay at Le Richelieu Hotel. I want to give a big thank you to the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. Everyone was friendly and responsive, and when I had a minor issue in my room, maintenance came quickly and resolved it right away. The location was another huge plus. It's within walking distance of Bourbon Street, the French Quarter, plenty of restaurants, and bus stops that made it easy to get to other tourist attractions. It was so convenient to be able to explore the city without needing to drive. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Le Richelieu Hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans.

We have stayed at Le Richelieu several times and just love it. We consider the location as "the quiet side" of the French Quarter. We walk everywhere we want to go from there. After a night on Bourbon street, the walk can be a bit long, depending on where you are. A $20 pedicab ride will get you back, no problem! The rooms have been remodeled since our first stay there in 2010. They are spacious and modern. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a small bar open 3pm to 11pm. Although they oy serve coffee to guest in the morning, there are two very good breakfast spots near by. You are blocks away from the street market amd surrounded by great restaurants and bars that are a good "hang" away from the hustle of Bourbon street. Frenchman street is also near by where you can find smaller jazz clubs for the evening.

This little boutique hotel was awesome to stay at. Rooms were super clean, comfy, and spacious. Rebecca at the front desk was one of the sweetest front desk ladies I've ever encountered. She was so helpful on suggesting places to go! The location was absolutly perfect. Restaurants not far, flea market around the corner, and an easy walk to Bourbon street. Absolutly would go back!

We had a great stay here!! The room is so nice and clean, and the bed and pillows are extremely comfortable! Staff is nice and we liked the digital door codes. The location is great, near a lot of things to do in the French Quarter and parade routes. Also, housekeeping cleans all the rooms daily and does a very good job! You don't see that at all places. The only improvement I could see about Le Richelieu is improving the quality of shampoo/body wash/conditioner they improve (it's very low quality and doesn't lather, definitely being your own stuff). Besides that, everything else was great and we would stay here again for sure!
